SOLSC24 || 29: Washing machine curiosity

Mijo,

Your curiosity knows no bounds. I will tuck today into my memory forever. You agreed to toss your stuffed animals into the washing machine, but about three minutes into the cycle, you began to yell, “take them out!!! Take! Them! Out!” The thought of your animals swishing around freaked you out, I guess. Luckily, though, we can see through the washing machine’s lid, so I sat you atop the dryer so you could see what was going on.

I sat you there when the machine marked 35 minutes remaining, and you? You stayed the rest of those minutes. At 32 years of age, I’ve never wondered what exactly occurs in the washing machine. But through your eyes? Thank you for teaching me to wonder, baby.

xoxo,

mami

    What a sweet post. You’ve done such a beautiful job of bringing this moment to life. I hope he felt better once he was able to watch his stuffed animals, and that now all is right with the world, now that he has them back cleaner.
