Britt,
You are currently living, what everyone says is, the dream. They say you will miss the chaos, the newborn cries in the middle of the night, the diaper changing, the pull-ups, the soccer mom van. There’s a seventy year gap between this letter and your reading of it… I hope you realized how right they all were. I hope you embraced every cry, every smile, every “I love you.” I hope you slowed down. I hope you didn’t sweat the small stuff; that you distinguished what the small stuff was. I hope you loved deeply.
Beautiful paragraph. You sound much wiser than your 30 years! You rocked it with that last sentence.

I hope when you are 100, you will read your letter and give yourself a big hug. Yes – indeed – LOVE is what we are all here for – although some of us have a hard time recognizing it! I do not have children, but I know how precious they are, and I always tell friends/family to cherish those mundane moments. Those are the ones that count the most.

What a beautiful letter you wrote to yourself as a reminder to enjoy the precious moments in life because they are fleeting and we will miss them when they are gone.
