Happy retirement, mami!

My mom’s last day of her 34 years in education was Friday! I’m still on maternity leave, so our time is overlapping for a couple of weeks. Yesterday we continued her #retiredlifetour enjoying coffee and croissants at a French bakery..

After shopping, we decided to try out a relatively new Mexican restaurant in town..

We ended her first weekday of retirement picking up the big boys and eating sweet crepes – yes, before dinner! 😉

When I go back to work, baby Mateo will get to keep Tita all to himself..

Happy retirement, ma – so proud of you, so excited for you! Also, THANK YOU!!!

First, Congratulations to your mother! Enjoy retirement. Second, that food looks scrumptious! And baby Mateo’s expression makes me smile. He doesn’t look impressed to his photo being taken. But he’s so cute.

Congratulations to your mom. Hope she has a long and healthy retirement. This is an exciting new chapter she is starting in her life. This is my 11th year of retirement and I sometimes wonder why I waited so long to do it. I retired after 40 years of teaching.

Congrats on Mateo! I didn’t realize. Congratulations to your mama! How very special that she will get to watch your little one. That first day of the #retiredlifetour looks amazing and delicious. Those tacos looked like a winner.

Love that your mom has a #retiredlifetour and that you can share in it before you head back to work. Baby Mateo is gorgeous! My daughter is a mom to three boys too and I get to spend time with them when she works (part-time).

Most retirees say they’re starting a new chapter. I say I’m starting a brand new book. I’m so glad you’ll be writing/riding it with me! There’ll be new and incredible happenings at the turn of every page. It may start off slow but I guarantee the plot will thicken and, best of all, you’ll be able to see yourself and my beautiful boys throughout the whole book. The past 34 years have been a blast and definitely a read-worthy story, but the book that covers the next 34 will be a Best Seller!
