FIVE things that made me smile
1. Gabriel all dressed up for cowboy day at daycare.
2. Students who used to complain about my weekly current event (of their choice) writing task now recommending news articles to each other…for fun.
3. An FFA student bringing a bunny to class (and me getting to hold him!).
4. Elías singing (we’ve come a looooong linguistic way…) “I want to eat eat eat apples and uhnahnuhs.”
5. Reading.
FOUR words to describe my week
1. L O O O O O O O O O N G
2. Tender
3. Exhausting
4. Spontaneous
THREE plans for the weekend
1. Kids with mom!
2. n.o.t.h.i.n.g.
3. Okay, and grade… #reportcardweek
TWO things I learned this week
1. I learned that the new state test for English is difficult.. even for adults. 🤣
2. I was not the only slicer weary of commiting to 31 days of blogging this year.
ONE goal for the week ahead
1. Front load my time consuming tasks and responsibilities, so I can skip into spring break stress-free!
I love your choice of format with this slice. I will be stealing that for a future entry! My first year of teaching, 1994, I had a FFA student bring a bunny to class. He had it in his front shirt pocket…hilarious. Thanks for taking me back to that sweet memory.

This was going to be my Slice today too. I love doing 5-4-3-2-1 each Friday night. It is such a good way to reflect on the weekend and get ready for the weekend.

I love doing this reflection, and I enjoyed reading every bit of yours. It is great when kids buy into our madness. It is nice to “see” you, Britt. I look forward to slicing with you this month.

I really like this format. Somehow, the second of your three plans for the weekend never worked out for me. I would plan it but then something always came up.

I was just getting ready to put this in my notebook but decided to read some slices before I opened it. I love how you captured his song – that one made me smile too!

I love this format. I may just need to “borrow” it later! 🙂 Report card week, ugh! That’s this weekend so I don’t have to do anything next weekend! 🙂

You’re on a roll with posts that make me want to write too! I love how this format reminds us of the joyful things in a week. Even when the week isn’t my favorite, I do smile and laugh A LOT.
