I discovered Laura Tremaine toward the end of last year: reader, writer, author, podcaster. She just announced the end of her podcast, 10 Things to Tell You, but this is where she’d provide a prompt to take to your journal or talk about with your bestie. Laura is also the creator of the social media challenge, #10onthe10th, where users post 10 random (or sometimes themed?) things every 10th of the month.
Anyway, I was late to posting yesterday because #workingmomlife, but I thought I’d do something similar today for SOL: #11onthe11th because why not!
Specifically, 11 things I’m looking forward to this year:
1️⃣ *Not feeling guilty about silly things; following through with what I wanted and considered fun, even if it isn’t exactly how I imagined it’d turn out to be (like…my efforts to complete this challenge gone wrong)
2️⃣ Turning 30 on Valentine’s Day!!!
3️⃣ Completing my #30while30 list of random, fun, exciting, courageous things. If you have any interesting suggestions, please share!!
4️⃣ Toddler and baby turning 3 and 1, respectively. When, oh, WHEN did that happen??
5️⃣ Embracing my three words for 2022: savor, intentional, notice (indecisive, much?).
6️⃣ Blog challenges: Tuesday SOL; March SOLSC; participating in the monthly Exhale Creativity blog hop as I step out of my comfort zone to connect with a momma writing community.
7️⃣ Utilizing my Makselife companion notebooks because who doesn’t need one more resource for goal setting? Honestly, how many different systems am I going to try out in my lifetime..
8️⃣ Enjoying our backyard whose existence we’ve effectively ignored for four years. Kyle’s mom and fiancé gifted the boys a jungle gym/swing set. We are SO grateful!
9️⃣ #100daysofnotebooking with Michelle Haseltine and friends. We’re only 11 days in, but it’s already one of my favorite things of the day!
🔟 Because of the pandemic, an Alicia Keys concert with my tía and week long cruise with Kyle were both postponed. [If things start looking up] I’m counting down the days for these rescheduled events!
The next 10th on a Tuesday falls in May, by the way… 🙂
I should have guessed that you were born on Valentine’s Day, because you are such love-ly person! And how did your babies grow that fast?

I am all for number 1. Life is too short not to enjoy things and have fun. Hope the rescheduling of events works out for you. We have tickets for Summer, the Donna Summer Musical at Hershey on Valentine’s Day. Hope it happens. I will remember to toast your birthday with a glass of wine when we go out for dinner before the show.

I love this post! I should probably follow your lead and give some things I’m looking forward to as well. It might get me out of my funk. Thank you for this!
