she comes with a destiny:
share her words,
proclaim a message

move, motivate
shake earth,
rattle heavens

writing –
we get to choose it
(or not)
every single day

whether world hears message,
whether you leave impact –
entirely up to you

We get to choose it (or not) every whether the world hears your message- leave the impact you were born to make- up to you. Scary, isn'

I love this – sounds like the first cousin to blackout poetry. I’ll have to give this a spin! – I’m also going to have to share this passage (and perhaps the book as well) with my students. Thank you!

Such power in this, Britt! For there’s such power in writing. Sometimes I think writing chooses me. I am always in awe of where it leads me. It’s a battle with fear sometimes, yes…and an act of faith that always comes through. Endlessly fascinating, writing.
